Little lambs

Yesterday, I heard that the Littleton Historic Museum had some baby lambs, and I was eager for the girls to experience those little ones. In the afternoon, off our family went.

Each of the girls had her own idea of what we had to see. . . horses, said Victoria. Once Isabella realized where we were going, she really wanted us to go see "the old house."

Then Victoria wanted to see pigs. The girls were pulling us in all kinds of different directions. What about the little lambs?

I was informed there were a couple.

Isn't this little one cute?

There were certainly more than a couple. Interested yet, girls? I was captivated.

Energetic little ones. Wish I had that kind of energy. Seriously.

Oh, and we met a heifer that is due this summer. Poor gal; I can understand how you might feel. Try fitting two in the oven at once.

Mustn't forget the kitty cat. What a life.

Gentle with the kitty cat. So sweet and quiet looking, when not provoked. I miss my kitty cat.

My own celebrities

I do not need celebrities to model fashion, when I have my own. Those sunglasses are the bomb. Very colorful, fuzzy flower. I'm sold.

Not completely sold? How about the charm? Hmmm???

"Look at me," she says.

Here's my next model.

How about this for a fashion statement? A shopping shirt with a butterfly headband.

Are you charmed?

I was informed that Henry was not to be left out of the photo shoot. Actually, I was told, "Henry wants his photograph taken, too."

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone. My older daughter did all kinds of fun activities and ate all sorts of goodies in celebration of the day.

While Isabella was having a good ole time at preschool, Victoria and I paid a visit to my nurse midwife; feel free to read about it here.

In preparation for Lent, which begins tomorrow, with Ash Wednesday

The girls have been singing this song quite a bit lately, which in the midst of the life-changing struggles I've been experiencing, has been a gentle and sweet reminder of an important truth. My daughters sing this proudly and loudly, whether in the Target parking lot or waiting in line at Starbucks.

In case you have trouble understanding what my 2 year old is saying, here it is:

Jesus loves me,
this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong.
They are weak but he is strong.
Yes Jesus loves me. . .

Then Victoria cycles back to the beginning instead of finishing the rest of the song.

Lent begins tomorrow, with Ash Wednesday. My plan is to replace any time I normally use on facebook and twitter with a combination of prayer, bible reading, or devotional time. So, for those of you who communicate with me via twitter or facebook and look for updates there, you can contact me via phone or e-mail or by coming for a visit.

My hope, during this 40 day period is to give a glimpse of what this journey looks like from time to time on this blog or another blog on which I haven't been writing for awhile.
